TFG Impact Wrestling results and review: Cody Rhodes debut, The Great War

AHEAD OF BOUND OF GLORY, TNA came up with an impactful episode of Impact wrestling which saw the debut of Cody Rhodes, announcement of the Great War and the continuation of Grand Championship tournament.

The Great War is coming

After the success of Delete or Decay, the Hardys are all set for another showdown with Decay. This time, it will happen at Bound of Glory and is titled The Great war. The Tag team championships will be on the line at the pay-per-view and this raises the stake. It was Hardys that had the upper hand this week as they managed to tie up Decay and hold the championships high.

Grand championship tournament continued

The Grand Championship tournament continued this week. Eddie Edwards and Drew Galloway battled it out in the first semi-final and the match went the distance. After three rounds, Galloway won via decision as he won the first and third rounds when Eddie Edwards won the second. In the second semi-final match, Aron Rex defeated Eli Drake to advance to the finals. TNA will now crown their inaugural Grand Champion at Bound of Glory where Galloway and Rex will face off.

Special impact next week

Ethan Carter III and Moose teamed up for the main event of Impact wrestling and defeated Bobby Lashley and Mike Bennett. It was another chaotic match in their ongoing feud, but this time, there were some huge implications. A special impact was announced for next week with Bobby Lashley and EC III being captains of Lethal Lockdown teams. The winner of the match will then get the chance to pick stipulation for the World Championship match at Bound of Glory.

Cody Rhodes debuts

After months of speculations, Cody Rhodes finally appeared on TNA programing this week. He announced that he will make his debut at Bound of Glory. The signing of Brandi was also announced and as expected, Cody did not use the ‘Rhodes’ name on television due to the legal problems with WWE. Despite this, the introduction was done in the right manner, and the immediate future of TNA does look bright.
