This Week In IMPACT History – Impact Starts taping from Universal Studios

This was a historical week in IMPACT Wrestling history, as of June 3, 2004, marks the very first episode of IMPACT ever taped from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

IMPACT is the flagship show for the promotion and has been a mainstay in the world of professional wrestling ever since the first episode aired nationally. It is only fitting that the first episode of IMPACT was filmed in Orlando, Florida, which still hosts television tapings for IMPACT to this day, coming to be nicknamed the IMPACT Zone.

This historic episode featured matches with wrestlers that would come to be international stars, including AJ Styles, James Storm, Bobby Roode and The Monster, Abyss, just to name a few!

The first episode of IMPACT aired on Fox Sports Net 13 years ago in the United States but has grown to become an international entity, airing in over 120 countries worldwide each week. The domestic home for IMPACT Wrestling is Pop TV and airs in India on Sony SIX.
