Mumbai FC are not shutting down despite relegation, assures I-League CEO Sunando Dhar

THE CEO OF I-LEAGUE Sunando Dhar recently spoke to prominent football scribe Arunava Chaudhuri in a video interview, and he had some good news for Mumbai FC fans.

While talking about the I-League season and the journey the league has seen recent times, Mr Dhar described Aizawl winning the title as a "fairytale" and cited the way fans came out to watch matches especially in Aizawl and Shillong as exemplary.

He was also asked about about Mumbai FC getting relegated. He reacted,

"It was a surprise, no one expected them to be relegated now they are a decent enough team on paper... it's good to hear... that they are committed to the game. They are not shutting down, they told me that."

This will come as a big relief for the Yellow Brigade who remain faithful to their club despite it going down to the 2nd Division.

You can check out the entire interaction, which is up on Arunava Chaudhuri's YouTube channel, right here...
