India will play its first day-night Test against New Zealand at Eden Gardens
THE ICONIC Eden Gardens will play host to the country’s first ever day-night Test when India take on New Zealand later this year.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India Cricket’s season fixture stating that New Zealand will play three Tests and five ODIs in India. The venues for the three Tests matches are Indore, Kanpur and Kolkata.
A senior Cricket Association Bengal (CAB) official told IANS,
"We had written to the BCCI and they have accepted our request. Eden Gardens will host the day-night Test against New Zealand. This is fantastic news."
Recently the CAB had announced that the Super League Final will be played with a pink Kookaburra ball - which will act like a rehearsal for the international game.
