HIGHLIGHTS: Ben Stokes makes English ODI cricket history with mammoth 182 run innings

BEN STOKES CHARTED HISTORY by earning the record of scoring England's highest ever individual ODI innings.

As England batted first against New Zealand, Stokes took charge of shaping their innings. He hit 15 boundaries and 9 sixes to contribute 182 runs as they put together a score of 368, which helped set the stage for their massive 181 run victory.

Stokes' effort is being hailed as one of the finest pieces of batting in the history of English cricket and he is fast emerging as the leading figure in England's  title defence at the ICC World Cup that kicks off next month.
