Prannoy- steadily going up the ladder

HS Prannoy has had his share of his ups and downs this year but what has made it special are some of his performances. He may have not won many tournaments but his performances against the biggies of World Badminton has been the cherry on the cake! At the Indonesia SSP, he defeated Lee Chong Wei and Chen Long in two successive days.

This made him the first Indian badminton player to have defeated the big four of world badminton in MS category (Taufik Hidayat, Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei and Chen Long).

A month later, he backed all these performances with a title at the USA Grand Prix Gold. Once again being part of history, first Indian MS to win a title in US.
