HS Prannoy reaches semi final of BWF World Championships beating defending champ
HS PRANNOY HAS ENTERED the th BWF World Championships semi-finals.
The Indian shuttler had a tough task in front of him, given he was facng former world champion Viktor Axelsen in the quarter finals.
Prannoy had a tough start to the match, losing the first game 13-21 to the defending champion. But he held his own and pulled off a strong comeback, bagging the second game 21-15.
He kept on the momentum in the final game, fighting till the end to ensure a 21-16 victory to secure his place in the finale.
With this, Prannoy has ensured a medal for himself and India in the BWF World Championships' men's singles.
