In men's doubles, Satwiksairaj and Chirag lost to the Lee Yang - Wang Chi Lin in a hard fought 15-21, 25-23, 16-21 match.
India's other major hope, HS Prannoy, also lost out to Viktor Axelsen 21-19, 18-21, 8-21.
