BIG TROPHY SKIPPER: A look back on how Captain Cool won all the trophies that matter

AFTER INDIA'S memorable triumph in the 1983 World Cup and the Champions of Champions tournament in 1985, the men in blue went through a dry period unable to win any more major tournament in limited overs format. Both Mohammad Azharuddin and Sachin Tendulkar tried their best but to no avail.

In 2002, though, Sourav Ganguly helped India win the 2002 Champions Trophy. However, the team continued to falter at the final hurdle till 2007. Just when the world was questioning India's talent and ability to win major tournaments, MS Dhoni was given the responsibility and the rest is history.

From World T20, 50 over World Cup, Champions Trophy, ICC Test Mace to IPL and Champions League titles, the man from Ranchi has won it all. Call it luck, skill or great management skills, Dhoni will go down in history as India's most successful captain in limited overs cricket.

On his 36th birthday today, we go down memory lane and look at some of those glorious moments.
