Kohli holds No.2 spot in the ICC ODI batsmen rankings

INDIA TEST SKIPPER Virat Kohli has held on to his No.2 position in the latest ICC ODI rankings for batsmen, as per the latest release. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma dropped a place to seven, but partner Shikhar Dhawan has remained steady at the eighth position.

South Africa batsman AB de Villiers has been ranked No.1 in the batsmen chart and is closely followed by teammate Hashim Amla, who is placed third. 

England batsman Joe Root has advanced into the top-five following his magnificent batting against Pakistan in the recently-concluded ODI series. The Englishman was awarded the Man of the Series award for scoring 274 runs in the series.

Root surged ahead of Kiwi's Kane Williamson (5) and Martin Guptill (6) to take the No.4 spot.
