Saina undergoes a successful knee surgery in Mumbai

SAINA NEHWAL underwent a knee surgery in a hospital in Mumbai. She suffered an injury during training for Olympics and it aggravated while playing the match. In her final group stage match against Maria Ulitina, she suffered a shock defeat despite coming close to winning both the games.

Her pain didn't allow her to qualify to the knockout stages. This broke a lot of hearts. After she returned to India, she was admitted to the hospital in Hyderabad and her doctor recommended her to a hospital in Mumbai for further treatment.

Last night she shared an image of her report and asked fans and everyone for prayers and wishes as she was supposed to undergo the surgery early morning today.

The surgery finally was successful. She will be out of action for at least four months. See you soon back on court, champ!
