Davis Cup: Leander/Rohan give India a commanding 3-0 lead over South Korea

THE CONTROVERSIAL pairing of Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna has given India an unassailable lead 3-0 over South Korea in the Davis Cup tie today in Chandigarh.

Rohan/Leander beat the pairing of Hong Chung and Seong Chan Hong 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in the doubles rubber to ensure that India will win the tie, regardless of what happens in the reverse singles.

Yesterday, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni won their singles tie and put India in a commanding position.

All eyes were on both players after their recent controversy over the Rio games pairing. However, their experience got the job done and now both men will look to pair up once again in Brazil a few weeks from now.

The World Group playoff tie will be played in September.
