DADDY COOL: Have to remind Ziva how I look like, says MS Dhoni

MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI'S wit and humour knows no bounds. We had previously witnessed the limited-over captain making cutting retorts, when an overseas journalist had asked him if he was going to retire immediately after the team’s loss to West Indies in the semis of WCT20. The wicket-keeper batsman had called him over to have a seat beside him, only to counter-question the overseas correspondent to procure a statement that the India veteran was fit to play till the 2019 WC.

And yet again during post-match presentation, the ‘Captain Cool’ was seen exhibiting his wry sense of humour. After the completion of third ODI against Zimbabwe, MS was asked about the long forced break that he will have post conclusion of the ongoing series. As reported by PTI, the skipper clearly with his tongue in cheek replied,

“I think after a long time, I will take some time off cricket after this series (T20Is). Don’t think my daughter (15-month old Ziva) still recognises me. I will make my daughter feel that I am her dad and spend time with family.”

The 34-year-old added that he was content with the performance of the young side, limiting the hosts below 200 and chasing the total with consummate ease in all three games.
