Sania-Ivan & Lee-Martina enter semi-finals of French Open mixed doubles
SANIA MIRZA may have failed to shine in the women's doubles circuit but has entered the mixed doubles semi-finals of the French Open along with Croatian partner Ivan Dodig.
The second-seeded Indo-Croatian pair edged past the French duo of Alize Cornet & Jonathan Eysseric 6-7(8), 6-4, 10-8. They next face third seeds K Mladenovic /Herbert in the semi-final clash.
The other mixed doubles Indo-Swiss pair of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis too earned a place in semi-finals after easing past fifth seeds Elina Vesnina/Bruno Soares 6-4, 6-3.
They will be up against sixth seeds A Hlavackova/Roger-Vasselin in the semis.
