BCCI name Sanjay Bangar as head coach for Zimbabwe tour 

THE BOARD of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named former India all-rounder Sanjay Bangar as India's head coach for the Zimbabwe series. Bangar, who coached Kings XI Punjab in the ninth season of IPL, has previously worked with the national squad as one of the assistant coaches. 

As reported by cricbuzz, the BCCI said in a statement,


"Mr. Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian cricket team for the forthcoming tour to Zimbabwe, which commences on the 8th of June comprising 3 One-Day International matches and 3 T20 International matches to be played in Harare.”


The BCCI also named former first-class cricketer Mr. Abhay Sharma as fielding coach and former India cricketer Mr. Koka Ramesh as India’s administrative manager for the tour.

MS Dhoni will look to lead a young side in Zimbabwe under the guidance of coaches S Bangar and A Sharma and the series is scheduled to get underway on June 11th.
