Leander/Martina enter pre-quarters of French Open mixed doubles
VETERANS LEANDER PAES AND MARTINA HINGIS comfortably sealed their place in the pre-quarterfinals of the mixed doubles event at Roland Garros today.
The Indo-Swiss pair beat the German-Colombian pair of Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Robert Farah 6-4, 6-4.
After quite a few breaks of serve in the opening set, Paes/Hingis managed to wrap up the set with an additional break. In the second set too, a similar trend continued and the experienced pair once again held their nerve to squeeze a win.
Both Leander and Martina have won their respective doubles matches as well in the tournament.
