Youngsters are fortunate to train under Dravid, says DD batsman Sam Billings

ENGLAND WICKET KEEPER-BATSMAN Sam Billings, who is playing his first IPL for Delhi Daredevils joined teammates Sanju Samson and JP Duminy in praising mentor Rahul Dravid. The Englishman reckons it’s a great opportunity for the youngsters in the team to train under Dravid.

As reported by PTI, the swashbuckler said,

"It's a great learning opportunity to spend time with Rahul, who always asks batsmen to use their foot properly. Your footwork has to be so good while playing against spinners in Indian condition and overseas young players can learn from Rahul."

Billings looked as much in awe of Dravid-the person as Dravid-the coach.

"He is just a great human to talk to, and him and Paddy have created an environment where - obviously we have got a lot of young, inexperienced players - [you have the freedom] to play your natural game, which is invaluable."

The 24-year-old also added that he was happy to be a part of IPL.

"It's pleasant to be a part of IPL and a great experience playing at different venues on different pitches against quality players."
