Ajit Agarkar steps down from Delhi Capitals as he guns for Chief Selector job at the BCCI

FORMER INDIAN INTERNATIONAL Ajit Agarkar has stepped down from his role as assistant coach at Delhi Capitals.

A tweet from the IPL franchise announced the departure of both Agarkar and Shane Watson from its coaching staff roster.

The announcement comes amidst rumours that Agarkar is the frontrunner for the job of becoming India's chief selector.

The 45 year old represented India in 26 tests and 191 ODI matches, and has been active as a coach and administrator ever since he retired as a player.
