DDCA shows interest in hosting Pune play-offs for IPL-9

THE DELHI AND DISTRICTS Cricket Association (DDCA) has expressed an interest in hosting the two IPL play-off matches originally scheduled to be held in Pune after the Bombay HC shifted 13 matches out of the drought-hit state of Maharashtra.

As reported by IANS, DDCA vice-president C.K. Khanna said,

"I on behalf of DDCA offer that our association is ready to host playoffs matches of IPL, in case they are shifted from Pune. We assure you our best of cooperation to BCCI/IPL for the said matches if they are shifted and allotted to us."

Pune was supposed to host the IPL eliminator and the second play-off on May 25 and 27 respectively, which now looks bleak.

Out of the 13 matches, Pune , Mumbai and Nagpur will lose out on six, four and three games respectively because of the Bombay HC order.
