Looking forward to playing at Eden Gardens, says England opener Jason Roy

AFTER A MATCH-WINNING 44-ball 78 against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the ICC World T20 at Delhi yesterday, England opener Jason Roy is looking forward to playing in front of a packed crowd at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

As reported by PTI, Roy said,

"We are getting better with every game but we take the final as just another game of cricket. It just happens to at the Eden Gardens in front of hundred thousand people. It is going to be an incredible experience but we go out and play our natural game."

Roy said as a team England fought well after losing the first game to the West Indies at Mumbai.

"It sounds pretty cool (being finalists). After the first game it seemed pretty far away. After that, the amount of effort we put in has paid off."

The Surrey batsman is quite happy with his knock that helped his team reach the finals.

"Yeah, that's right up there. It is pretty special for me. To get this group to the final, obviously the bowlers played their part as well. Their skill set was amazing in the death overs."
