Wankhede not to provide a belter for India-West Indies clash???

THE PITCH FOR THE SEMI-FINAL match at the Wankhede stadium between India and West Indies in Mumbai will not be completely batting-friendly say sources.

As reported by PTI, a source said,

"There's an even coating of grass to bind the wicket, but the track would be slower than in earlier games. But it will still be a good T20 wicket."

The source also pointed out that the wicket will behave according to the excess heat that has gripped the city over the last few days.

The venue has seen high scoring games earlier in the tournament when England chased down South Africa's 230-run target and the West Indies-England match where Chris Gayle notched up a 48-ball hundred to take his side over the line.

The India-West Indies match is on Thursday, March 31.
