Indo-Pak clash at Kolkata in a limbo after ATFI threatens to dig-up the Eden wicket

The Anti-Terrorist Front of India (ATFI) has written to West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee against hosting the India-Pakistan World T20 match at Kolkata saying it's an insult to the soldiers and their families who were martyred in the attacks.

As reported by the PTI National President Viresh Shandilya said,

"Hosting the Pakistanis is an insult to all brave soldiers who were martyred in attacks. We have written to the (West Bengal) chief minister urging her not to allow any kind of arrangement including security for the match."

Shandilya said the protests will take place from March 14 across the airport, team hotel and the Eden Gardens.

"We are determined to prevent this match from happening and for that we are ready to dig up the Eden pitch. We are also seeking the intervention of the Union Home Ministry so that Pakistan team is not allowed to enter India," he added.

The ATFI had earlier threatened to dig up the Dharamsala pitch where the match was originally scheduled to be held before it was moved to Kolkata.

The India-Pakistan World T20 match is scheduled for March 19.
