Top seed Yuki falls to Italian Fabbiano in the semis of ATP Zhuhai Challenger
INDIA’S TOP SINGLES PLAYER Yuki Bhambri goes down to Italian Thomas Fabbiano 6-3, 6-3 in the semis of the Zhuhai ATP Challenger in China today.
In the opening set, the Indian was constantly put under threat on his service games and his poor percentage of second serve proved to be decisive. On the other hand, the Italian held his own without much fuss and broke Yuki once to nail the set.
In the second set too, Yuki’s serve came under the gun and Fabbiano broke thrice to stamp his authority on the match and eventually nailed a spot in the finals in just over an hour.
