Yuki beats Saketh to enter the semis of ATP Zhuhai Challenger
INDIA’S TOP singles player Yuki Bhambri beat compatriot Saketh Myneni 6-4, 7-6 in the quarter-finals of the Zhuhai ATP challengers in China today.
In the opening set, Yuki has three break points and finally he converted one which then proved to be the decisive one. On the other hand, Myneni squandered both his break point opportunities.
In the second set, both men started to serve well and held onto their service games to push the set into a tie-breaker. In the end, Yuki’s experience helped him nail a close match in an hour and 19 minutes.
Overall, the top seed won 41 points as compared to the fifth seeds 35 points. In the semis, the World no.111 will take on Italian Thomas Fabbiano.
