Pakistan should not play India at Dharamsala: Imran Khan

THE CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING the India-Pakistan clash in the World T20 at Dharamsala is going from bad to worse. The Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh had earlier mentioned that he would not be able to arrange adequate security to the Pakistan team in the wake of the Pathankot airbase terror attack in January.

Early in the day, the security team from Pakistan arrived at the Attari border, post of India on Monday and headed towards the match venue to review security arrangements.

However, former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan says that his country should not play at the picturesque venue given the “hateful statements and resistance” by the Himachal Pradesh chief minister.

As reported by PTI, Imran said,

“The statement by the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister is an irresponsible one and is totally against the standards of hospitality and hosting. The Chief Minister’s statements clearly promote hate. Amid this situation, I don’t believe the Pakistan team should play at Himachal Pradesh.”

India are scheduled to play Pakistan on March 19 at Dharamsala.
