India-Bangladesh to kick-off inaugural T20 Asia Cup, Indo-Pak battle on Feb 27

INDIA AND HOST Bangladesh will lock horns in the opening game of the maiden T20 Asia Cup on February 24 while the men in blue will take on arch-rivals Pakistan on February 27. India and Pakistan are also scheduled to play their World T20 match on March 19. 

The entire tournament will be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Before we get to the main rounds, Afghanistan, Oman, UAE and Hong Kong will play the qualifiers and the best team will then make an entry into the league stages. The final of the T20 Asia Cup will be played on March 6. 

Currently, Sri Lanka are the defending champions and have won the coveted trophy on five separate occasions.
