Taking the bull by its horns: Sachin & Shane show moves to the New York Stock Exchange
BATTING LEGEND Sachin Tendulkar and Aussie spinner Shane Warne will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, becoming the first cricketers to do so.
Both cricketers are captains of two star-studded teams that will face off in three T20 games as part of the Cricket All Stars. Tendulkar and Warne will be visiting the world's largest stock exchange to highlight the historic tour that marks their debut on US soil. They will ring the bell at 9.30 am New York time that will mark the beginning of the trading day.

The Cricket All Stars starts on November 7, with the first game at the Citi Field stadium in New York, which will be preceded by a special opening ceremony and other events. The second match will be played on November 11 at Houston, and Los Angeles will host the third and final T20, followed by a presentation cermeony.
The cricketers on Thursday took a tour of their first venue, and this picture explains the rest...

Several Indian dignitaries have rung the opening and closing bell at the stock exchange in the past, but it will be the first time that cricketers will do the honour. Tendulkar says the idea behind this is to globalise the sport of cricket, apart from making it popular in America.
