PCB should boycott 2016 World T20 in India, says Javed Miandad

FORMER PAKISTAN CAPTAIN Javed Miandad has lashed out at the BCCI over the undecided bilateral series scheduled for December, and has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board to boycott the 2016 World T20 in India.

Miandad also said that BCCI doesn't want to revive the series because India is afraid of losing to Pakistan, according to a report published by Zee News.

Earlier this month, the BCCI-PCB meeting was cancelled after Shiv Sena extremists stormed the BCCI's office in Mumbai to protest the scheduled meet. Miandad said that neither the BCCI nor the Indian government is showing their sincere interest in the December series. He further asked the PCB not to send the Pakistan cricket team to play the 2016 World T20 to be hosted by India.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two board says that both countries are scheduled to play six series between 2015 and 2023. However, India hasn't played a bilateral series against Pakistan after the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, which led to strained relations between the two countries.
