Bhambri swiftly moves past Bendre into the R2 of Pune ATP Challenger

CURRENT WORLD NO.105, Yuki Bhambri comfortably defeated compatriot, Anvit Bendre 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the KPIT ATP Challenger in Pune today.

Bhambri fired 7 aces and won 23 out of 26 points on his first serve. The no.1 seed didn’t face a single break-point in the entire match, but was quick to seize the opportunity in breaking Bendre's serve three times.

Although, Bhambri didn’t manage to win too many points returning the first serve of Bendre, India’s no.1 singles player closed out their first ever encounter in an hour and ten minutes.

Bhambri will next play Nikola Milojevic in the second round.
