Anshul Jubli to make UFC debut next month at Abu Dhabi PPV event against Mike Breeden

ANSHUL JUBLI'S long awaited UFC debut is finally here, and it will be against Mike Breeden at UFC 294.

The fight will be part of the card featuring Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira in a Lightweight world title rematch at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.

Jubli is 7-0 as a professional MMA fighter. His last outing was at the final of Road to UFC's Lightweight tournament where he stopped Jeka Saragih to win the tournament and earn a contract with the UFC; the biggest MMA promotion in the world. Incidentally, it was at the very same stadium, on the weekend of Makhachev and Oliveira's first outing.

Anshul has been vocal about wanting to fight in Abu Dhabi. In an interview with TFG, he said,

"Last time I fought there... I went to see the fights... and that time I had decided that I have to fight in this arena. .. when it's a pay per view in Abhu Dhabi, and you can imagine the whole arena is full, people are going crazy... fighting in that atmosphere would be totally different and new for me."

His opponent Breeden is 10-6 in pro MMA, and his last three outings resulted in losses. He is known to be a dangerous striker, with 80% of his win coming via KO or TKO. This makes for an interesting stylistic match-up for Jubli, who is looking to make an impact upon his arrival at the UFC.

Anshul is the only Indian citizen to win a fight under the Zuffa banner and when he takes to the cage next month he will become the second Indian citizen to ever fight in the UFC after Bharat Kandare.
