Cat Zingano Teases Epic Return To UFC In The Summer

Epic return in cards?

Bantamweight contender Cat Zingano, who has not fought in UFC since February 2015, teased an epic return to the Octagon recently.

Zingano lost the title fight to Ronda Rousey back in February, last year, and was sidelined due to injury for this whole time. Zingano, however, claimed that she used the time out to recover perfectly and said that she has improved her skills during her absence.

"I had some pretty bad bumps and bruises that I needed to take care of. On the personal note, I'm doing all this for me and my son so that gives me a little bit more responsibility than any of these people has to deal with. I worked a lot on the mental aspect of it. I took a trip to Thailand. I visited a bunch of different gyms that are places where I always wanted to train, and get technique and education from people who I really look up to. I feel like I've improved 110 percent, and I'm ready to go out there and showcase it,” She said during a recent interview.

According to her, the return could happen in time for summer but she did not reveal her current opponent although she mentioned that the match would be huge.

“The UFC is going to do what they're going to do. Obviously, that's the fight [against champion Miesha Tate] I want, but I'm not looking past this opponent. This is a very, very valid opponent, and it's going to be an exciting fight, and I'm super stoked for what you guys are going to see because I know when you hear it you're going to be [excited]."

From the looks of it, Zingano could feature in the UFC 200 card or the MSG show that UFC is planning after MMA got the green flag in New York City.
