Gautam Gambhir's "middle finger" video goes viral, he claims the slogan audio was doctored
A VIDEO CLIP SHOWING Gautam Gambhir flashing a middle finger at fans has gone viral on social media.
In the footage, as he is walking up, fans can be heard raising the slogan "Kohli, Kohli", seemingly in reference to a spat the two had during the IPL. Gambhir turns around and shows a middle finger in their direction.

The clip has sparked wide criticism among fans, who condemned and criticised his behaviour.
However, Gambhir later claimed that the audio in the video had been edited. Instead of chanting about Kohli, the slogans being raised were allegedly anti-india.
“A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes”.

Not everything is as it seems. Any Indian would react how I did to the kind of slogans used against our nation. I love our players & I love my country.
The version of the clip going viral was first posted by a Pakistani fan, and although it was posted during the India vs Nepal game, the full stadium behind Gambhir suggests the video may have been taken during the India vs Pakistan match. So there may be some credibility to his claim. However, nothing is certain as of now, and the controversy rages on among netizens.
