WBBL Draft: Harmanpreet Kaur only indian out of 18 to be picked
OUT OF 18 Indian players, only Harmapreet Kaur was picked up in the Women's Big Bash League draft.
The Indian women's team captain, who has a proven record of good performance in past WBBL seasons, was in the Platinum category of players; the most expensive kind. Her former team Renegages chose to pick her back up in the second round of the draft.
The other Indian players - which included Indian national team regulars - did not find a taker in the WBBL draft.
Concerns over going unpicked was presumably the reason a number of players withdrew from the BBL and WBBL drafts days before it took place.
