BBL & WBBL drafts: some big names withdraw from the big bash
A SERIES OF major names have withdrawn from the Big Bash League & Women's Big Bash League drafts before the event.
The withdrwees include Nicholas Pooran and Mohammad Rizwan in BBL and Dane van Niekerk in WBBL.
Both Nicholas and Mohammad were platinum picks in the BBL draft; the elite category of players. This may have raised a concern that teams could see them as too expensive and decide to pass on them.
As for Dane, who has a long experience of playing in WBBL, she is set to sit out for the second season in a row.
