When they took on Kashi Rudras, the match ended in a tie with both teams scoring 181 runs. So the game moved to a super over.
Kashi batted first and put on a formidable 16 for 1. So it came down to Rinku Singh to finish the job.
The first ball was a duck. He hit the second one for a six. The third one got the same treatment, and so did the fourth one.
The super over win has given Meerut their first win in the league and sealed Rinku Singh's status as the serial hitter who can finish a game from the tightest of corners.
