Heath Streak says he is alive; quashes death rumours

WELL IT'S NOT every day that you get to deny the rumours of your own death.

When word got around all over traditional media and social media that former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak had passed away, messages of condolences, tribute and mourning started pouring in from all over.

However, it turns out that Streak, who is not a big social media user, was doing just fine, far away from this madness, blissfully unaware that the world was abuzz about his death.

Henry Olonga, former cricketer and a friend of Heath, heard from him on WhatsApp that he was alive and promptly shared the news, quashing the rumours.

I can confirm that rumours of the demise of Heath Streak have been greatly exaggerated. I just heard from him. The third umpire has called him back. He is very much alive folks. pic.twitter.com/LQs6bcjWSB

Who knew that Heath's streak of major wickets would include one of his own death.
