Harmanpreet Kaur doesn't regret heated comments in Bangladesh

HARMANPREET KAUR IS not sorry about the controversy her comments caused during the Bangladesh series.

After India tied an ODI series with Bangladesh with the last match also ending in a tie; the Indian women's team captain said some choice words during the prize distribution that caused the host squad to walk out in protest.

While posing for pictures with the shared trophy, Kaur loudly asked to bring on the umpires too, saying they deserve credit for the result. Earlier, she also expressed frustration at what she thought was a wrongful dismissal of herself.

For those statements she was fined, and even suspended for a few games. Now, playing in 'The Hundred', Kaur said she saw nothing wrong with what she had said,

"I will not say that I regret anything because at the end of the day as a player you want to see that fair things are happening. As a player, you always have the right to express yourself and what you're feeling... I don't think I said anything wrong to any player or any person. I just said what happened on the field. I don't regret anything."

Kaur is playing for the Trent Rockets in the 100-ball format; and she's set to lead India in Bangladesh once again when the T20 World Cup takes place there next year.
