Shikhar Dhawan's "don't lose to Pakistan" quote prompts Star Spots to delete the Asia Cup promo

STAR SPORTS HAVE deleted an Asia Cup promo due to it featuring a controversial comment from former Indian international Shikhar Dhawan.

Dhawan, who is a part of the Star Sports expert panel for the upcoming major tournaments, had made a casual comment during the now-deleted comment,

"It has always been the case of 'Whether or not you win the World Cup, don't lose to Pakistan. But winning the World Cup is also important and by God's grace hopefully we will."

The comment caused criticism from fans, who believed this was not the right approach for India to have in global and continental championships. Although Star Sports have not said anything about it, this is likely what caused them to delete the video.

Of course, there's no shortage of good promos for Asia Cup from Star this time, which are still being run on TV and online to hype the fans for the upcoming cricket extravaganza.
