Andra Premier League season 2 auctions: 120 players picked, Hanuma Vihari priciest
THE AUCTIONS FOR the second season of Andhra Premier League took place today at Vizag.
The auction, helmed by Charu Sharma, saw 120 talented players being snapped up by 6 franchises.
Indian international Hanuma Vihari, who represented the country in 16 Test matches, fetched the highest price in the auction at Rs 6.6 lakhs. Rayalaseema Kings was the team who landed him.
M Dheeraj (5.2 L) and Ashwin Hebbar (5.1 L) were the next most pricey purchases, done by Godavari Titans and Vizag Warriors.
The original season of the Andhra Premier League was reasonably successful, with Coastal Riders winning the inaugural title. This time, the league is going bigger, with Star Sports set to broadcast it.
