Take care of 'basic necessities' - Hardik Pandya cricitises West Indies hospitality

INDIA CAPTAIN HARDIK PANDYA is seemingly not happy with the travel and stay arrangements they are receiving over in the West Indies.

After India beat the hosts by 200 runs in the third ODI to win the series 2-1, Pandya gave his frustration with the hospitality that Team India are getting a polite voice,

"Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. Things like travel, hopefully the West Indies cricket board can take note and ensure that there are no hiccups. We don't ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of."

West Indies are one of the most cash-strapped cricket boards, greatly affected by the sport's declining popularity in the Caribbean nations. Even their team has gone through a steady downward spiral in terms of quality over the last decade as the local populace turns more and more towards US sports like basketball.

The matches India are playing there, both Tests and ODIs, have seen low attendance at the stadium; which has become something of a norm over there.

Therefore, it does not come as a big surprise that the staying arrangements that were provided to the Indian team were not up to the standards that they are used to elsewhere in the world.
