ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in June; may have a record number of host nations!

THE ICC T20 WORLD CUP will take place during June next year, and ICC has the dates set on its calendar.

The ICC's tournament committee has marked June 4th to 30th as the tentative window for the world championship.

The event will be hosted by USA and the West Indies. Since the West Indies are a sporting confederation of 15 countries and territories in the Caribbean, this may turn out to be the World Cup with the highest number of host countries; beating the subcontinental ODI World Cups of 1996 and 2011 which had 3 host nations each.

But whether or not the 2024 T20 World Cup gets that distiction will only be confirmed after the venues are announced; which will happen some time in the next few months.

Inspection teams from the ICC have already paid visit to some of the prospective venues, and they will submit their report to the global cricketing body soon.
