Major League Cricket Playoffs HIGHLIGHTS: Seattle Orcas ease past Texas, reach the final

LEAGUE LEADERS SEATTLE ORCAS continued their stellar form, brushing aside Texas Super Kings in the first 'Challenger' match to get to the grand finale.

In the de-facto first semi-final (similar to IPL qualifier playoffs where the winner goes to the final and the loser moves to the second qualifier match), Texas batted first and they didn't really get going.

Andrew Tye (3/32) and Imad Wasim (2/23) kept a tight leash on Texas, and only the likes of Daniel Sims (26 not out off 25), Devon Conway (24 off 19) and Cody Chetty (24 off 21) could last for a while. But in the end, TSK could only reach 126/9.

Seattle Orcas chased down the target with ease. Quinton de Kock (88 not out off 50) led the way as they got to the winning mark in just 15 overs with 9 wickets to spare. Playing smartly, the batters played out Rusy Theron (1/20 from 3 overs) and went after the rest; making it look easy.

The Orcas have now gone down in history as the first ever team to reach the Major League Cricket finale. Texas Super Kings, however, will have one more shot at getting there; by taking on MI New York in the second 'Challenger' (semi-final) match.
