HIGHLIGHTS: India A lose to Pakistan A in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup grand finale

THE YOUNG India A team lost to a much more experienced Pakistan A side in the final of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

India's inexperienced team had beaten this mostly internationally experienced Pakistan side in the group stage of the tournament.

In the final, Pakistan put on a fine perfrmance batting first. Tayyab Tahir (108 off 71) led from the front as they made it to 352/8 in the 50 overs.

In reply, the Indian batting line up struggled to keep up with the massive required run rate and once the wickets kept falling, they didn't stop. Abhishek Sharma (61 off 51) tried his best, but ultimately the likes of Sufiyan Muqeem (3/66), Mohammad Wasim (2/26) and Mehran Mumtaz (2/30) ensured that India A were all out at 224.

Although this team played with the moniker 'India A', it's not the reserve squad for the Indian cricket team but a developmental team. The real India A side will take part in the upcoming Asian Games tournament.
