Major League Cricket HIGHLIGHTS: Wayne Parnell takes down Texas, Seattle go top

SEATTLE ORCAS ARE fast emerging as the best team in Major League Cricket.

Quinton de Kock's team went to the top of the table with three wins out of three, handing Dwayne Bravo's Texas Super Kings their first ever defeat.

It was the Seattle bowlers who set them up for victory, with a hellacious spell from captain Wayne Parnell where he picked up 5 wickets, giving away just 20 runs in his 4 overs. Despite Bravo's (39 off 39) attempt to stabilise the innings, Texas only managed to reach 127 runs batting first.

Seattle settled the score in just 16 overs, winning by 8 wickets. Quinton (53 off 36) started them off on the riht foot and Heinrich Klaasen (42 not out off 21) got them past the line with relative ease.

With both teams coming in undefeated, MLC fans were looking forward to this match as a de-facto determinative encounter that whould tell them who are the undisputed favourites in the race to the first ever Major League Cricket title. With their dominant victory, it's safe to say that the Seattle Orcas have taken that place, at least for now.
