INDIA SHARED THE honours with Bangladesh in the 3 match women's ODI series held at Mirpur earlier today.
After Bangladesh won the first match, India struck back in the second game. This match was the decider; and it turned out to be a thriller till the last ball.
Fielding first, India bowled tight and managed to restrict Bangladesh to 225/4; led by Fargana Hoque's 107 off 160. Chasing this target, however, proved to be more difficult than expected.
Buoyed by Smriti Mandhana (59 off 85) and Harleen Deol (77 off 108) India were off to a great start; and at one point were at 191/4. But then, Nahida Akter (3/37) led a spell of destruction that got India all out for... 225.
The nail-biting end has aptly concluded a series that has been unpredictable and action-packed throughout.
