Rahul Dravid opens up about 'difficult decisions' one has to make as a coach

RAHUL DRAVID opened up about different aspects of being a cricket player and a coach, going deep into the difficulties and dilemmas that come with both.

Appearing at the 'Cred Curious' show, he shared many insights from throughout his long career.

When talking about what makes being a coach at that level challenging, he said,

"You care for each of those people whom you coach, on a personal level as well and you're trying to build personal connections. You want to coach them as people and not so much as cricket players... you want all of them to succeed. But at the same time, you've got to be realistic and realise that not all of them are going to succeed... you've got to make those tough and difficult decisions."

The former India captain and current head coach is presently in West Indies, leading the team as they gear up for the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup camapigns.
