India Tour of West Indies. Hardik Pandya to captain the youth-oriented T20I squad
BCCI HAVE ANNOUNCED the India squad for the T20 series in West Indies.
Hardik Pandya is going to have the mantle of the captaincy while Surya Kumar Yadav is the vice captain in this decidedly youth-focused roster.
The full squad is as follows...
Hardik Pandya (Captain), Surya Kumar Yadav (Vice Captain), Ishan Kishan (Wicket Keeper), Sanju Samson (Wicket Keeper), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar.
India will play a total of 5 T20 International matches between 3rd and 13th August in the Caribbean. It will follow a two match Test series and three ODIs.
The Indian test squad has already reached West Indies and they have begun the process of acclimatising and recovering from jet lag.
