ICC Test Player Rankings: 3 Aussies are best batters, Ashwin best bowler, Jadeja tops all-rounders

THE TOP THREE test batsmen in the world are now Australian.

Days after Australia won the ICC World Test Championship beating India in the final, their batters were rewarded for their performance in the latest ICC test player rankings.

Marcus Labuschagne is at the top of the chart, with 903 points. At the second and third positions are fellow Aussies Steve Smith (885 pts) and Travis Head (884 pts).

The fourth Australian in the top ten list is Usman Khwaja (777 pts) who is at 9th spot.

The only Indian in the elite list is Rishabh Pant (758 pts) at 10th spot... but he has been out of action for a while now since suffering serious injuries in an accident.

However, Indian players are at the top in both the all-rounders' and bowlers' charts.

Ravichandran Ashwin is notable for being the number 1 bowler (860 pts) and the number 2 all-rounder (352 pts) in the test rankings. He did not appear for the Indian team at the ICC World Test Championship final.

Ravindra Jadeja is currently the top ranked all-rounder with 434 points to his name.
