Upcoming star Karman Kaur Thandi signs up with IPTL, Mahesh Bhupathi

THE 17 YEAR OLD  upcoming tennis player, Karman Kaur Thandi, has announced that she has signed with International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) management and Mahesh Bhupathi (management and representation).

She posted about the development on her official Facebook page and expressed her joy: 

"I look forward to pursuing my tennis journey with the right team behind me in helping me reach the upper echelons of the Women's game in the coming years!"

She made it clear that she will not be playing for any team, but will be supported by the management.

"I will be managed by IPTL, not playing for any team, they will support and represent," she said.

Karman, the inaugural U16 Future Stars champion from last year’s WTA Finals, was selected as a reserve for India’s Fed Cup team.

In the past 12 months, Thandi has reached three $10,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments, while qualifying for another three $25,000 tournaments. She is currently ranked No.1,029 but had a career-high ranking of 795 in the WTA Singles Rankings on 13 July 2015.
