ADDING ANOTHER MEDAL to India's tally takes the number to three podium finishes.
The 8th day of the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London...another day full of excitement!
In the Women's Discus Throw F55 Final, Indiaâs Karamjyoti Dalal threw her seasonâs best throw of 19.02
meters. Though she was initially declared fourth, Yang Liwanâs post-event disqualification resulted in Karam
Jyoti being deemed the bronze medallist...making her Indiaâs third medal-winner of the competition.
Latviaâs DiÄna DadzÄ«te won the event with her personal best throw of 23.18 meters, to give her a hat-trick of medals in
this competition.
There was high drama in the Men's 200m T11 Final, as it initially seemed like Franceâs Timothée Adolphe had
won the race in a very close finish. But after a review, judges determined that Adolpheâs guide-runner hadnât
dropped back far enough, and the Frenchman was disqualified. Chinaâs Zetan Fan was thus declared the winner,
with a time of 23.28 seconds, while David Brown of the United States took silver.
In the Men's 400m T36 Final, 21-year-old Australian sensation James Turner won his second gold of the
competition, with a time of 54.27 seconds, a new area record. Turner had already set world records in the T36
200m heat and in the final before winning this race.

O'Hanlon and Chinaâs Jianwen Hu. In the end, both finished the race with a time of 11.07 seconds, but OâHanlon
was declared the winner in a literal photo-finish.
But in the Men's 400m T13 Final, the race wasnât very close. Moroccoâs Mohamed Amguoun finished the race a
good 1.48 seconds ahead of his closest rival, Namibiaâs Johannes Nambala. In the process, Amguoun set a new
world record, with a race time of 46.92 seconds.
